Company's History

1995

Home Product Center Plc. was established on June 27, 1995 being a joint venture between Land and Houses Plc. and Quality Houses Plc. The Company opened its first branch at Rangsit in September 1996 under the trade name of “Homepro”

2001

Home Product Center Company Plc. has been transformed to a public company since May 29, 2001 with the initial registered capital of 150 million Baht and listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand since October 30, 2001. The trading symbol is “HMPRO”

2004

Home Product Center Plc. builds distribution center in Wang-noi district, Phra-Nakhon-Si-Ayutthaya province on owned land and operate since September, 2004. The distribution center continually expands to support the expansion of Homepro branches.

2006

Market Village Co., Ltd. was incorporated on May 26, 2005 with objective to manage rental space and to provide utilities services to tenants. It commenced operation on the “Hua-Hin Market Village” project in the first quarter of 2006.

In 2006, The Company’s security (“HMPRO”) was selected from the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) to be included in SET100 index.

2010

In 2010, the Company’s security (“HMPRO”) was selected from the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) to be included in SET50 index.
The Company operated for 15 years with total of 40 branches, 19 branches in Bangkok area and 21 branches in upcountry.

2013

The company expanded business into building material and household related products by establishing Mega Home Center Co., Ltd. It was incorporated on July 4, 2012 to be the center for wholesale Business and retail under the name of “Mega Home” to accommodate the demands in building material and household related products market to serve contractors and project owners. The Company operated the first Mega Home branch at Rangsit in 2013.

DC Service Center Co., Ltd. was incorporated on September 4, 2013 with objective to operate warehousing and distribution of goods for Homepro group.

2014

The Company has expanded “HomePro” business internationally in 2014. Home Product Center (Malaysia) SDN. BHD. was incorporated on July 28, 2011 with objective to operate a retail business in home improvement segment in Malaysia. The Company operated the first branch in IOI City Mall, Kuala Lumpur.

2015

The Company was rated and received the national and international awards such as;

  • Being listed in MSCI Global Sustainability index from Morgan Stanley Capital International with A rating.
  • Receiving “Best Company Performance” award in SET Award 2015.
  • Rating of the level of “Excellence: 5 stars” from the Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD) for the Corporate Governance Report.
  • Being selected as 1 of 100 listed companies having the outstanding in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance.

2016

The Company introduced a new service innovation known as “Home Makeover”, providing home renovation services by a team of experts who supervises the project from start to finish, assists in budget control, and guarantees the quality.

The Company was rated and received the national and international awards such as;

  • Being listed in MSCI Global Sustainability and MSCI Global SRI Indexes from Morgan Stanley Capital International with A rating.
  • Being selected as 1 of 100 listed companies having the outstanding in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance for 2 consecutive years.
  • Receiving a full score of 100 from the Thai Investors Association for the assessment on the good quality of Annual General Shareholders’ meeting for 8 consecutive years.
  • Being listed in “FTSE4Good Emerging Index” and “FTSE4Good ASEAN 5 Index” the indexes evaluate ESG issues.
  • Being listed in “Thailand Sustainability Investment (THSI)” for 2 consecutive years, and receiving SET Sustainability Awards 2016 for “Rising Star”.

2017

HomePro is certified member of Private Sector Collective Action Coalition Against Corruption (CAC) on March 9, 2017

2018

The Company opened 1 new HomePro store in Kalpapruek and opened 5 new HomePro S stores at The Paseo Park Kanchanaphisek, Big C Supercenter Bangna, The Market Place Nanglinchee, Sena Fest and Gateway at Bangsue. New store openings in 2018 were expansions with good potential, especially in Bangkok Metropolitan region that still had high purchasing power generated from new resident areas. By the end of 2018, there were total of 82 HomePro stores, 9 HomePro S stores, 12 Mega Home stores and 6 HomePro Malaysia stores.

2019

The Company opened 2 new stores in Charan Sanitwong and in Mukdahan province, as well as 1 HomePro S store at Samyan Mitrtown. 2 Mega Home stores were opened in Rayong (Ban Chang) and in Bangna-Trat. Store expansions in 2019 were in the areas with high potentially, especially in Bangkok Metropolitan region and Special Economic Development Zones that had purchasing power from new resident areas. By the end of 2019, there were total of 84 HomePro stores, 10 HomePro S stores, 14 Mega Home stores and 6 HomePro Malaysia stores.

2020

The Company opened 2 new HomePro stores in Rangsit Klong 4 as “Market Village” form and in Suk Sawat. Store expansions in 2020 were executed with careful discretion as the Company was affected by the closing order of stores during Q2 by Thailand’s Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA). At the end of 2020, there were 86 HomePro stores, 9 HomePro S stores, 14 Mega Home stores and 6 HomePro Malaysia stores. In addition, The Board of Directors have also approved for the Company to proceed with the establishment of Home Product Center Vietnam Company Limited to operate retail business for home-related products in Vietnam. The Company plans to proceed in 2021.

2021

The company opened 2 HomePro stores and started operating in Vietnam. The Company opened a HomePro store in Bangna Km.1 Bangkok, which is the 87th HomePro store in Thailand, and has expanded the 7th store in Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur, Damansara area. As the end of 2021, there were 87 HomePro stores, 6 HomePro S stores, 14 Mega Home stores and 7 HomePro in Malaysia. In addition, the Company has started business operations in Vietnam through the E-marketplace channel.

2022

The company opened 2 HomePro stores replacing the former stores, closed 1 HomePro store, and opened 4 Mega Home stores. It also consolidated Mega Home and HomePro management to operate under the same entity. In order to provide larger space with more convenience to customers, the Company opened a HomePro store in Future Park Rangsit, which was relocated from the former Rangsit store. In addition, the Company opened a HomePro store in Ladkrabang to replace the HomePro S in The Paseo Ladkrabang. On the other hand, the Company closed 1 HomePro store at The Mall Bangkae due to the expiry of its leasing term with the plan to open a replacement store in the nearby area. Furthermore, the Company opened Mega Home stores in Pattaya, Chachoengsao, Surat Thani, and Khon Kaen. At the end of 2022, there were 87 HomePro stores, 5 HomePro S stores, 18 Mega Home stores and 7 HomePro in Malaysia. Besides, the Company operates business in Vietnam through the E-marketplace channel.

Since July 1, 2022, The Company managed to consolidate Mega Home and HomePro business to operate under the same entity of Home Product Center Public Company Limited, which formerly the two companies had completely separated management. The objective is to increase management efficiency in many aspects such as people management, inventory management, and efficient cost control as well as facilitating customers in terms of enabling products and services cross-purchasing from both HomePro and Mega Home stores with more variety and speed in order to boost business opportunities.

2023

The Company opened 3 HomePro stores in which 1 store was to replace the former store and opened 9 Mega Home stores.

The Company opened HomePro in Seacon Bangkae to replace the former HomePro in Lotus Bangkae, which was located in the nearby area. Besides, the Company opened another two Homepro stores; in Bang Bua Thong and Phuket (Chaofa). Also, the Company opened Mega Home stores in Rattanathibet, Bang Phli, Tiwanon, Nakorn Pathom, Chiang Mai, Bangsaen, Pluak Daeng, Tung Song, including Phuket (Chaofa). At the end of 2023, there were 89 HomePro stores, 5 HomePro S stores, 27 Mega Home stores and 7 HomePro in Malaysia. Additionally, the Company continually operates business in Vietnam through the E-marketplace channel.
